Irani has honey trapped and blackmailed a number of students, retailers, doctors, builders, and political officials.
With the arrest of lady blackmailer Irani Patra in Bhubaneswar, more horrific information in the case emerge with each passing day.

It is believed that accused Irani Patra and her friends defrauded numerous individuals out of crores of rupees by honey trapping and blackmailing.
Following the victimization of a doctor by the accused, a student preparing for competitive tests has filed a complaint with Tamando police station, stating that Irani blackmailed him and demanded Rs 2 lakh.
According to the student’s claim, Irani summoned him to her home. Later, she levelled rape claims against him and blackmailed him for Rs 2 lakh.
Due to embarrassment, the student was initially hesitant to file a complaint. He eventually got the confidence to file a complaint at Tamando police station.
According to allegations, Irani has honey-trapped and blackmailed a number of students, shopkeepers, doctors, builders, and political officials.
Notably, Tamando police recently detained Irani and her associates Bapi Patra, Girija Harichanan, and Ganesh Prahan.
The accused persons may be taken into custody by the police for further investigation into the case.
“They phoned me on September 2 after I gave them my phone number. They asked me to wait inside a secured room. There were already two people there, and they threatened to keep me there unless I gave them Rs 20,000. They also stole my gold ring and Rs 3,300 from my wallet,” stated another businessman who was deceived.
Subhrakant Jena, IIC of Tamando Police Station, stated, “Once a victim showed up at their place, Irani Patra’s husband used to lock the room.” Later, they threatened the victims. Irani would also threaten the victims with a rape charge if they did not pay.”
“We have arrested Nishikant Patra and his wife Irani Patra, as well as their associates Ganesh alias Manoranjan Pradhan and Shaktikant Harichandan,” Zone 5 ACP Pradip Rout said. They have also stolen money and valuables from a number of people.”
Following the arrest of the lady blackmailer, her husband, and others, a large number of victims have come forward to file complaints.
